Loosen the upper lock nut and turn the Lower lock nut upper clutch cable adjuster all the way in (to provide maximum freeplay).
Check the starter switch. There is a hidden switch inside the starter switch. When the starter switch is pressed, this hidden switch disengages the headlight. This is to ensure that the starter gets maximum power when starting and not partially robbed by the headlight. Depending on the version, this switch would be connected to the black/red
I understand couple of days after an oil change but almost 3 weeks after seems a bit off to me.
